Encounter Youth Camp

August 10-15, 2025

Northeast RMAI's Encounter Youth Camp

For over 15 years, RMAI Churches from all over the Northeast have been sending their teens to a fun, active, and spiritually charged Youth Camp.

The goal is to provide youth with the opportunity to come into God’s presence with other teens just like them in order to be changed and refreshed by the Holy Spirit.

Each year, there are wonderful testimonies from the youth about how Jesus has transformed their lives because of the powerful experience Youth Camp offers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the cost to attend?

For 2025, the cost is $480 per person. This includes all meals, overnight accommodations, activities, and more.

What does "RMAI" stand for?

RMAI stands for “Rhema Ministerial Association International.” Encounter Youth Camp operates under the authority of Rhema Bible Church and Rhema Bible Training College, located in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. The summer camp is associated with Rhema and is an extension of Rhema’s ministry to their churches and teens in the Northeast.

Do you have to be attending a Rhema church to attend this summer camp?

Anyone can attend the RMAI youth camp, regardless of their association to Rhema. Any church considering partnering with this youth camp should understand Rhema’s statement of beliefs before attending the camp.

How many students can I send to camp?

You can send any number of campers from your church.

We require churches to provide at least 1 male Counselor per every 5 male Campers, and at least 1 female Counselor per every 5 female Campers. (i.e. 11 male Campers attending camp? Please provide 3 male Counselors.)

If your church has a group of 5 students or less of both genders, and you are unable to provide both a male and female counselor, please contact the camp director.

If you have 3 or less campers from your church and are unable to provide a counselor, your students can still come and join another church.

How many people attend this summer camp?

On a normal year, we’ve had approximately 200 people attending camp, consisting of campers, counselors and leaders from 13+ churches.

Where is the the RMAI youth camp located?

We’ve enjoyed hosting our annual RMAI youth summer camp at Refreshing Mountain Camp in Stevens, PA for over 20 years. The staff, facilities, and offerings are a delight each year. For more information, you can view their website at https://refreshingmountain.com.

What is a typical week like for a camper?

Churches will arrive Sunday evening and receive orientation for the week. We have morning and evening worship services each day, and students and counselors from all different churches are divided into teams as they participate in activities throughout the week. The students will also have plenty of free time to enjoy the pool and other facilities available at Refreshing Mountain Camp.

Phones/tablets/smart watches are not permitted for campers during camp, but they are able to call home.

Do you have a camp nurse?

Yes, we have our very own camp nurse that stays on property and is on call 24/7 to care for students throughout the week.

Is it possible to stay for only a portion of camp?

“Partial stays” can be arranged in cases where someone wants to attend camp, but cannot stay for the whole week. This can be arranged through your church’s leader and with the camp director.
